National Schools 3x3 Slam 2017
BBNZ in conjunction with Auckland Basketball Services Ltd (ABSL). ABSL are pleased to bring the Secondary Schools 3x3 National Slam for a third year. 2017 will be the third year of the piloted event, which will be held during the Summer Tournament Week. The Slam is the first 3x3 event to hit our tournament calendar; collaboration between BBNZ, ABSL, and NZSSSC is essential to set a framework for 2016 onward. To monitor the rules and regulations of the 3x3 format and create operational processes for schools.
The Slam dates will be updated in the new year and will be held at the Trusts Arena in Waitakere.
BBNZ has decided to 'adjust; the registration process due to feedback received from schools. There are still two processes to follow but you only need to complete the player information once.
The process for the online entry will be through two online forms: Team Registration (When you enter your team and complete the form, you will be sent a confirmation email and a different link to enter your players into your team) & Player Registration Forms
To start entering your teams, please use the link provided below and choose the option 'New Team Registration'
Roster Sign Off
The School Principal must verify that the submitted roster and details are true and correct and that all are bonadife fulltime students at the school. BBNZ will provide the School with a copy of your submitted team.
Each School must provide a referee for each team (ie 2 teams, 2 referees etc). A referee clinic will be held at the tournament to up skill referees with the rules of 3X3. The referees full details must be provided when registering your team. It is preferred that teams supply a referee rather than makes payment. If a School is not able to supply a referee, please make contact with your local basketball Association who may be able to assist or make payment of $300+GST per team. Please note that it is the responsibility of the School to ensure:
· referee details have been submitted to BBNZ before the due date;
· the referee knows that they have been put forward to referee;
· any referee expenses incurred (ie accommodation, travel, food etc) must be coved by the School; and
